Luke 15:16-18a: and he was longing to be fed with the pods that the pigs ate, and no one gave him anything. But when he came to himself, he said, ‘How many of my father’s hired servants have more than enough bread, but I perish here with hunger! I will arise and go to my father.

In the story of the prodigal son, we see a powerful message of redemption and hope. Despite his mistakes and poor choices that led him to a place of despair and destitution, the prodigal son found the strength within himself to say, "I will arise and go to my father."

There are times in life when we find ourselves in situations that are not right for us. It could be a relationship that has turned toxic, a business venture that has led to disappointment, or an abusive situation where we have given our all without receiving the love and respect we deserve.

Just like the prodigal son, it may feel daunting to turn away from the path we have been on, especially when we have invested so much of ourselves into it. But remember, it is never too late to turn around on the wrong road.

You have the power within you to rise from the dust of despair and walk towards a brighter tomorrow. Have faith that on the other side of this difficult decision, joy and fulfillment await you. Trust in your ability to make a fresh start and embrace the new opportunities that come your way and by taking that courageous step to leave a wrong situation behind, you are moving towards a brighter and more promising future.
